MODULE DEVELOPMENT

Module potting is a very crucial process after the development of the hollow fiber membranes. It is a process where membrane fibers are put together and glued tightly with adhesives like epoxy or Polyurethane to maintain intactness and strength of module as a whole. Our in-house developed centrifugal membrane potting system is unique in its kind.

CENTRIFUGES

The advantage of centrifugal potting over static potting is that the creep of the glue, the so-called wicking effect, in the hollow fibre bundle is largely prevented, so that the glue is distributed homogeneously between the fibres. Another advantage is the time saving that is achieved because it is possible to glue both ends of the module at the same time. The temperature is adjustable between 20 and 80 degrees Celsius.
