ORGANIC SOLVENT NANOFILTRATION (OSN)
OSN is still regarded as a relatively new membrane separation technology, with its first commercial successes in the early 1990s. Since then a number of new applications and processes were developed that prove the potential of OSN as a resource-efficient cold separation technology and enabler of new processes and even new products. Applications of organic solvent nanofiltration are found in the oil- and petrochemical industry, in the food and bioproduct industry, in the bulk chemistry as well as in the fine chemistry and pharmaceutical industry.
EMI Twente has the facilities to test Organic Solvent Nanofiltration applications from benchtop- up to pilot scale.
