A literature study is especially valuable in the early stages of development, when the right technical direction is not yet fully clear. It can help you explore a new market, compare membrane technology with existing alternatives, support an internal investment decision, or strengthen the technical basis of a grant proposal. It can also prevent unnecessary experiments. By identifying the most relevant membrane materials, process concepts and technical risks upfront, a literature study helps you focus lab work on the questions that matter most.
